Dr. Randy Tate

Dr. Tate fulfilled a lifelong dream to return to Redding, California and established the Centre for Facial Plastic Surgery in 2009. He was inspired to pursue Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the challenge and rewards of meeting patient expectations.

Background

Dr. Tate grew up in Redding and is a graduate of Shasta High School He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. He earned the distinction of graduating with Honors. He received his Medical Degree from the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Tate completed his Internship in General Surgery followed by four years of residency training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. In addition, he was selected for a prestigious fellowship program in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California at Davis Medical Center. There he was personally mentored by a world renowned physician.  Dr. Tate is a board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon. Due to his extensive training in this specialty area, Dr. Tate uses state-of-the-art techniques and procedures for the rejuvenation and reconstruction of the face.

Humanitarian Efforts

Dr. Tate is an avid participant in humanitarian missions. Together with Operation of Hope, Dr. Tate traveled to Hurare, Zimbabwe to operate on underprivileged children with deformities. His next humanitarian effort was to Quito, Ecuador with Faces of Tomorrow. Dr Tate’s commitment to humanitarian missions have been featured in the Redding Record Searchlight.

Activities

Dr. Tate is an avid athlete who enjoys soccer, tennis and basketball. He participates in adventure activities such as scuba diving and flying. Most of all he enjoys spending time with family.
